2. No chance. Should she make the last two she will be resoundingly beaten in the second round. There is a precedent for this. In 2002 her father came second to Chirac who went on to get 80% of the votes in the final round. The slogan was, 'Vote for the crook, not the fascist'.

@Op, do you know anyone with Aids? Apparently he wants anyone infected to be put in a Sanitorium, does this include the include the elderly, those infected by an accident via blood transfusion? What about children born with Aids?
He apparently denied the holocaust and has made Anti Semetic comments.
Apparently does not like Muslims or foreigners.
Apparently tortured prisoners and commited war crimes when he was lieutenant in the French Army.
Apparently has a Prosecution for assault so has violent tendancies.

If true then this says a lot about the people who want him elected.

" The Kentish Town area near me in north London is positively teeming with young French people."
Michaelmph, I've lived in Kentish Town and Camden for a number of years and was there just this weekend and didn't notice the place "Teeming with young french people" and Camden is a great tourist spot for visitors from all over the world, so do you stand in one spot making a record of all the french accents and other accents and put them in some kind of log or do you and have a team individually meeting and greeting all arriving visitors at Camden tube, Camden/Kentish Town Overground and Chalk Farm Stations and again log in all visitors in maybe an online app which then gives you a detailed and relaible demographic?
I'd like to know what method you use if you could tell me please.

A reasonable supposition from Michael - they have opened a new lycée in Kentish Town, I believe M. Hollande performed the ribbon-cutting.

“Apparently does not like Muslims or foreigners.”
Neither do I, particularly. I suppose that makes me a racist as well.
And I’m still not clear whether the remarks relate to Jean Marie Le Pen or his daughter, Marine Le Pen. I imagine the former because I cannot find any reference to Marine Le Pen having been in the army, let alone her having tortured prisoners or committed war crimes. If so, what’s he got to do with the price of fish? I thought this question was about the potential next President of France and as I understand it Jean Marie Le Pen is not a candidate for that post.
“…and Camden is a great tourist spot for visitors from all over the world,”
Most of whom will not visit the area more than once (if they’ve any sense).
The high French population in Kentish Town may be something to do with the fact that the Collège Français Bilingue de Londres (mentioned in DTC’s answer) opened there in 2011. That may well explain why there are quite a few French people there and in the surrounding areas. I don’t know why Lunol has to dispute so much of what people say here on AB. If you live there you don’t have to stand on the corner in Kentish Town with a clicker and a clipboard listening for cries of “zut alors!” to know there are quite a few French people there. Not all of us just randomly pluck statements from thin air and much of what is said is based on experience or research. I was challenged similarly over my views on the unpleasantness prevalent in parts of East London and had to justify my statements by explaining that I had lived nearby for 24 years and still visit the area frequently (though for reasons I stated then, I try to avoid Friday afternoons).
