When I was about 6, on one of our family holidays to Butlins, I entered the fancy dress competition as a ladybird.
I'd like to apologise to all ladybirds for misrepresenting their culture, and being ladybird-ist.

at costume/fancy dress parties nobody has to colour their skin: as the name says, it's about fancy dress. Blacking up has been dodgy since well before 2001 and yes, Trudeau should have known better.
