What a boring man he is, he has no charisma at all, he's banging on about what he would've done differently had he been PM, do me a favour!!
You need charisma and a bit of 'wow' factor to appeal to the voters, Boris has it, as did Cameron, Blair, Thatcher, Wilson, MacMillan, Churchill, where as May, Brown, Major, Callaghan, Heath, Douglas-Home didn't have it.
Labour will be in the wilderness for many years IMO under this man.
All that Labour did during the early stages of covid is criticise, offering nothing constructive at all. They then voted in Starmer who I agree is a totally boring, uncharismatic man. As Woofy has said that shouldn't be held against him. But he simply has carried on criticising and then occasionally in a very patronising saying he is supporting what Boris is...
I can live with boring...after all I wouldn't not hire a plumber or go to a doctor because they were boring....but I do require to agree with and believe what they tell me they will do and the way they will do it.
"Labour will be in the wilderness for many years IMO under this man. " - You don't need the last 4 words me old china! I can't see real labour ever winning an election again. There have only been 3 labour leaders that have the charisma to win an election in 120 years, they are indeed a rare beast. I don't think the next one is going to be Steer Calmer.
I think that if the government does change at the next election it won't be because the new party wins but because the conservatives lose and this will depend on the outcomes of the pandemic. Whatever anybody says, I don't think that any other Uk government would have done radically differently or had radically different outcomes.
woofgang..... Saying you're going to do something and actually doing it are two different things, its fine promising the earth, its the delivery that counts, to me Starmer is Major in disguise, bore, bore, bore!

I was never a conservative, until the Lib Dems put themselves out of the picture. I am a middle of the road person - but Starmer is not the man who will turn Labour into a viable opposition. I am totally fed up with all the criticism being targeted towards the government in the UK, whilst almost the whole of Europe is in the same boat. Mistakes have been made in all countries in what is a totally new situation. Easy to say what Labour would have done after the event.
