....did you ever think you would see the day when they were introduced to this country? For many years the British Govt was opposed to the pass laws in South Africa. Now we have them in Britain. People from the Midlands and Greater Manchester will not be allowed to enter Wales. Why they would want to go in the first place is a mystery to me but the new Welsh Pass Laws would seem to prevent it. They weren't complaining in the summer, when some mis-guided people were holidaying there and spending money. Now the summer is over, you can all bog off. Wales doesn't want you. But next year it will be "Come and visit Whails. We want your money. We won't have any Pass Laws as long you bring some dosh with you". Hypocrites. Is there a Welsh word for that or is it Hypocrites, isn't it see? Boyo.

The Welsh for hypocrite is rhagrithiwr (pl. rhagrithwyr)
10; is there really such a thing as Welsh Pass Laws?
Have you actually heard of Covid and current legislation and restrictions?

Or is this another wild rant in a similar vein to your ‘dead policeman abroad’ thread that was full of half-truths, wild conjecture and inaccuracies?

I can now understand why ‘it’s grim up north’....really grim.
For the avoidance of doubt "it's grim up north" extends no further than the Scotland/England border.

North of that division, the actual north, is a land of milk, honey and ambrosia.

Verily.

I did wonder if interdicting travel to Wales was lawful look you,

How insulting of you Chilldoubt to pour scorn on the death of a British police officer @ 21.08
//‘dead policeman abroad’ thread that was full of half-truths, wild conjecture and inaccuracies?//
A British police officer was murdered in Slovakia whilst on holiday in August. He was a member of GMP. His wife informed my family of his death which occured in front of her and her children as he tried to stop two people fighting, but they turned on him. There were no news reports anywhere about it. How do you know anything else about this situation that justifies the diarrhoea from your bucket gob?

Anyway, why would anyone want to visit the dump of Whails? They're going to stop some people going there this week. Twas on the news. It must be true. Akin to the Pass Laws I thought. Still do. Despite the verbal sewage from Chilldoubt.
If you're comparing the Pass Laws, a part of the decades-long South African apartheid system, to the relative inconvenience of not travelling to Wales, you seriously need to think again.
clarion - you are just playing to the usual

I didnt know about the GMP death
and you are right there was nothing in the media about it

in terms of pass laws to wales - not yet
Things don’t go your way so you *** off a whole country? Are you 12 years old?

10CS, what is your problem?
I think 10CS’s problem is that he’s still having a fit of the vapours because of the replies he received regarding the death of a police officer whilst on holiday which coincided with the death of an on-duty police officer in the UK.
It was the death of a holiday-maker who happened to be a police officer when not on holiday.
//10CS, what is your problem?//

I imagine it's similar to mine. Mine is that we have the leader of a local authority in the United Kingdom, appointed under some of the most ridiculous legislation I have had the misfortune to see passed, telling people from the rest of the UK whether or not they may visit his bailiwick. It's absolutely outrageous and I don't know what enrages me most - the fact that it's possible under the devolution arrangements or the fact that it's part of a hopeless attempt to "control" an infectious virus, an attempt at a cure which is causing far more harm and damage than the disease.
o god we are heading for another round by the usual suspects of
" who gives a toss who is dead so long as it is not me"

we could call this a covid thread in disguise
//o god we are heading for another round by the usual suspects of

I don't think I've ever noticed anybody on here suggesting they don't care who is dead. But once again, if that's what you'd like to believe and it makes you feel good, go right ahead.
