But we’ve known for some time that this particular crisis isn’t doing the government much harm. A common factor no one seemed to mention about the recent elections was that the ruling party, Tory, SNP and Labour, each did very well in England, Scotland and Wales respectively.
We all know the Tories are well ahead in the polls at the moment. Didn’t someone suggest Johnson should call an election recently: if he did (which he don’t of course) he’d lose seats. Probably more than 20 of his majority in fact.
So I stand my my point that a general election that suddenly happened today would certainly not be a good thing (for anyone).
