The coward's scared of losing votes of course, having noted the reaction to his original "decision".

Do give i ta rest Canary.
It’s like ( Let’s pretend day ) with Boris. By 6pm he could have changed his mind again !!!
It's his right to change his mind, the same as we can
Can never understand why the public ever voted for clown Boris and his Circus at all Canary . Should have left him dangling from the zip wire when he was Mayor
you'd be moaning either way canary anyway!

Bobbisox1 I
think a lot of his popularity stems from the Goons over on the opposition bench!! Past and present
Come on then gulliver tell us which party and leader out of those on offer at the time would you have wanted to get in.
Shedman, don't expect a sensible reply to that.
danny not really expecting a reply full stop from gulliver.
And the Ring master is teaching all his converted to jump through hoops.
As I said don't expect a sensible reply.
"one rule for them and another for the rest of us". We don’t all have to run the country though do we?
Let's face it, BoJo does have form for stating what he intends to do, then changing his mind on the basis of the opinion of his backbenchers or that of the Great British Public.
He is definitely not the strong leader this country needs at this moment in time. Unfortunately for us all, the choice of PM was very, very limited and he is the one we are saddled with.
He should have stuck to his guns and continued to participate in a legitimate pilot scheme.

Otherwise, he might have argued 'one rule for me, and one rule for those in the pilot scheme'.
Ken, who would you prefer to replace him?
Danny, as i intimated in my post, he was - and still is - the only viable option. Doesn't mean he is doing a decent job.
It's not really one rule for them and another for the rest - we all have the option to follow or ignore the rules or advice it's just most of us won't be in the public eye being watched doing it. I'm sure there are 1000s who have not isolated when they were supposed to but no-one was noticing. My main criticism is he hasn't the strength to stick to his convictions and frequently bows to the pressure of the public and opposition. Having said that I'm not aware of anyone who could have come even close to doing any better.
Prudie, that is something we'll never know. Others may have done better, others may have done worse. The vaccines aside, Boris has been found wanting all the way through this pandemic, imho.
//We don’t all have to run the country though do we?//

No we don't. But if those who do want the rest of us to comply with laws and guidance they should do so themselves instead of creating "pilot schemes" which only seems available to politicians.

There is no reason why the PM and Chancellor should not isolate. They have all the communication tools available to contact one another and they don't need to visit hospitals with their sleeves rolled up or car factories whilst wearing a hard hat. There first reaction is "that doesn't apply to us." Maybe it doesn't but they can demonstrate that it should. Otherwise they must not be surprised when many people are doing what they already are - ignoring the rules because, as far as politicians go, they don't seem to matter.
A very poor leader who needs to go.

Hopefully the 1922 are awakening and will start to do SKS's job of holding the Government to account.
