My stepdaughter has, the consultant said, no discernable pituitary gland. So, we were supposed to be going on holiday the next day and I was meant to fix the passenger seat. Her legs accumulate so much fluid that she needs the front seat to go as far back as poss.
And I'd clean forgotten to do so. When I did remember, I found that the previous owner had broken one of the rods required for this adjustment to happen. The driver's seat one was not the same...
I thought about lying and telling them that it was already as far back as it could go. I attempted to operate the mechanism with pliers, but it was so cramped working on my fragile back, I gave up.
I then recalled that I was meant to collect my wife's prescription from the pharmacy. Do I need to concoct further fibs?
No!
The pharmacy was just about to close as I pulled up. Just in time!
When I returned to my car, I noticed something in the muddy grass, next to the postbox.
It was a control rod from a BMW E36 front passenger seat. Really. Not possible!
I bought the car two days before the first lockdown. Since then, I have seen three other BMW E36s on the road.
The specific part is unique to this model.
Okay, not very 'oooooer', but not summat that happens on a daily basis. On planet earth.
And way too boring tale to be made up.
JHC I'm a boring git. Night.
