we really can't afford to keep shelling money out to other countries like this, we do this and meanwhile we have economic mig flooding our shores at a cost of millions per week???

Who are not, it is fair to say, "flooding our shores". They are overcrowding the asylum hostels however, and I would have thought a sensible approach to that would be to ramp up the processing, which has become massively less efficient.
Anyway, that's another subject.
Just the dangerous ones. In which case it is a tolerable short to medium term 'temporary relief' solution. The trouble is, those sort of things tend to become permanent as each new administration don't see any urgency in returning to it.
Meanwhile the invasion of illegals immigrants clearly flooding to here is a seperate issue. The sooner we find the guts to leave the ECHR and have nothing to do with the ECJ, etc. etc. etc. the sooner we can save idiotic chancers in peril in the Channel by returning them to the shore where they paid criminals to provide a boat for them to try to smuggle themselves here.
