'We've Done Catering To Wall St. We'll Commit To The Working Man.'
Words from Trump's running mate in the forthcoming election. I thought the Republicans were the party of big business. Will there really be changes or is this just hollow words to fool some of the electorate?

Biden has made life very difficult for every working American, hence the cost-of-living crisis. Under Trump, working Americans were better off, and they will be again come November.
As Hazi points out, there has been a major reversal in that more working class identify as republican than democrat.

The cost of living has gone through the roof under Biden.
Before covid, the Trump administration built one of the most prosperous economies in the world. America saw the creation of 7 million new jobs, exceeding government experts' projections by more than three times. Middle-class family income increased by nearly $6,000, which is over five times the gains made during the entire previous administration. The unemployment rate fell to 3.5 percent, the lowest in half a century. For 40 consecutive months, there were more job openings than job hirings. Nearly 160 million Americans reported being employed, the highest number ever recorded. Jobless claims reached a nearly 50-year low. The percentage of people claiming unemployment insurance as a share of the population hit a record low. For the first time in nearly 30 years, incomes rose in every single metro area across the United States. Trump did it before, and he'll do it again. Like him or loathe him, the average American was better off under Trump.

I've never understood this shout from the rabid left that those with businesses dont want the working man to gain.
It is in a businesses interest for its employees to be happy and be able to afford to live at least a reasonable life. A contented employee tends to be more productive and also not moving on (which costs businesses a lot of brass).
To me it actually seems to be the Socialists that dont want the working man to get better, possibly becasue they wouldnt vote for their high tax policies if they had to pay for them?
Good points made above. Under Biden, mortgage rates have skyrocketed to 15%. Only rich people can afford groceries. Gas is $10 gallon. Socialism under Biden hasn't worked. Under Trump, the US had a booming economy, they weren’t at war, had a secure border, inflation and mortgage rates were low, and working families had money in the bank. For the sake of our the working-class Americans, I hope Trump is re-elected. America can't afford another four disastrous years of Bidenomics.
