1. AUTUMN quiz. in aid of the Romanian Aid Foundation. £1 entry fee. Closing date is 7th December 2024.

2. Books Abroad. £1 entry fee. Closing date is 12th December 2024.

3. New quiz available from Sibsey Bowls Club. £1.40 entry fee. Closing date is 31st December 2024.

Closing in January 2025

4. Save the Children Quiz. 50 questions in 5 sections. £1.50 entry fee. Closing date is 10th January 2025.

5. Games Quiz. In aid of West Lancs Scouts, Raising funds for Community Project in Malawi 2025. £1.40 entry fee. Closing date is 10th January 2025.

6. Cryptic quiz on a musical theme. Quiz in aid of the Hastings Sierra Leone’s project to improve the water supply and sanitation in a dozen schools. Cryptic clues on composers, artistes, works and instruments. £2 entry fee. Closing date 11th Jan 2025.

7. All words & numbers. Proceeds go to MAGPAS. £2 entry fee. Closing date is 13th January 2025.

Closing in April 2025

8. Name the Place. Childrens Society Winter Quiz. Each question or answer will relate to the name of a Place, Fact or Fiction as well as proper names. £1 entry fee. Closing date is 30th April 2025.

Festive Medley, a new quiz from Honiton Library.  Send an email to [email protected] for your copy.  £1 to enter, payable on return with entry.  Closing date: Saturday 11th January 2025.  All money raised goes to Libraries Unlimited, the charity which runs libraries in Devon.  

On the twelfth Day of Christmas. Raising money for Water Aid.  Transforming lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation. Answers are people, animals or objects that relate to the gifts given on the twelfth day of Christmas.  It could be a person’s name that represents a gift. Or it could be the occupation of a person that shares a name with a gift. The questions are in a random order.  Quiz sheets are a suggested minimum donation of £1.00. Prize of £10 for the entry with the most correct answers. In the event of a tie spellings will be taken into account and all correct entries will be entered into a draw. Prize of £5 will be selected at random from all entries. The closing date for entries is February 28th 2025. WINTER quiz in aid of the Romanian Aid Foundation. (www.roaf.org) Closing date – 8th March, 2025. Mixture of 60 questions – Some questions with WI, NT or ER in the answer, some questions on pantomimes and some questions on anniversaries in 2024. The quiz costs £1 (cheques payable to C.Giffard). 1st prize £10, runner up £5 and prize of £5 drawn from all entries regardless of score. Quizzes available from Mrs C. Thank you to those who took part in the AUTUMN quiz. £100 was raised for ROAF. The winners were: 1st prize Kathy French of Spalding.  Runner up prize –Mrs P Bailey of Rushden and prize from all entries –Sue Starling of Dereham. Thank you for your kind comments and extra donations.
