Why is every Islamic state a failure ?

You can exclude the oil-rich Gulf states, where the camel-drivers were informed, in their ignorance, that they just happened to have an extraordinary natural resource under their sandals. But without Western technology & expertise it would still be lying there.

Every other Islamic state in the world is a shirt hole, & if Islam is so good, why do they want to come to the West ?

In the 1950s there was a democratic government in Iran led by a politician named, Mossadaq.

His plans to nationalise the oil fields didn't sit well with the Brits and Americans.  They deposed him.

That was followed by years of tyranny under the Shah.

He was followed by Ayatollah Khomeini and the religious tyranny which continues to this day.

A democracy in the middle east 70 years ago might have changed much of the politics in the region.

not quite - he proposed to seize the old fields without compensation  - you know  steal or filch

(now against International Law - you have to compensate)

A bit like Suez only there , there were no American interests involved
