His answer. 'Wolverhampton'.....

Really??? Though I've always wondered why Winchester, Chester and York weren't early candidates for universities. But Wolverhampton????? tonyav, we need you for your insights.

Winchester was over-run with in-tourists today - queuing rouind the baptisery for acces to the cathedral (£1). Chapterhouse, side then

Ruddy 'eck!  That's cheap! Here in East Anglia, it costs a whopping £14 to get into Ely Cathedral!

St David's is a beautiful cathedral but I prefer St Govan's Chapel, a few miles away 🙂

I would probably have guessed Portsmouth or Bournemouth. I know neither of them are cities, but under the time constraints, you just blurt out a vaguely possible answer.
