Top Chancellor or good liar ???
7 Answers
We were told that Gordon Brown was the finest Chancellor this country had seen for decades. As the UK currently drives full speed into financial meltdown, was he really on top of his game, or was it just another New Labour Con ??

I don't think it's all Gordon's fault. He has his advisors and a general "Think Tank", but neither he nor anyone in this dreadful goverment seem to know what they're doing, so things are spiralling out of control. Great to be British, eh?
In actual fact, he's the worst Chancellor we've had, post war, his policies are coming to fruition now, and you only have to look at his record over the whole of his tenancy.
He took over a very strong economy, sold half our gold reserves at an immense loss, plundered pensions, etc etc.
Although to be fair, there are some who think the sun shines out of his backside.

It amazes me that anybody could think Gordon Brown was a great Chancellor when he sold off our gold reserves at low prices, turned the surplus he inherited into a massive deficit and has decimated the pension funds of millions of people by his tax measures. For this last thing alone I think he deserves never to be forgiven, especially when he and his fellow Ministers will be drawing their gold plated pensions. The man's a complete disaster and I feel sorry for his wife. At least the rest of us can eventually vote to kick him out. I take no pleasure from the Banana Republic he and his government have reduced this country to, but I can't help permitting myself a secret smile at the daily humiliation he's suffering in the media. He's now starting to reap what he's sown and I think it's only a matter of time before his party get rid of him as being a electoral liability.
