"Black 80" was ringed on the 28th of June three years ago at five weeks old and has been spotted in Dumfries and Galloway over the weekend. His female partner arrived earlier last week. Both birds have been mating and nest building and strengthening.
Black 80 was around that area of Scotland last year also presumably with the same female (not ringed) but did not breed (extremely unusual for ospreys to breed at two years old).
