Bin Laden received help from the Pakistan authorities.
A rumour going round says this is what happened. To position a large compound near to a military establishment smells of a conspiracy if not from the Pakistani government but someone in a high place. Do you agree with this rumour?

Yes Mushroom, the idea that he was not killed after all is another theory. Even the Taliban says it was not him, but they would say that as they wan't to keep al qaeda going.
To bury him at sea seemed a bit premature before his real identity could be established by DNA. Photographs prove nothing as he could have a double like Gaddafi used recently when touring round in an open topped car.

They said they didn't know anything about it, who was living there - but the US plan to find him was detailed briefly on the BBC News, they had spend many months making sure it was him. The Pakistanis then allowed US to come into their air space to take him out. The commentator said UShad undertaken DNA testing on the body and it was him.

This is going to run and run. I'm surprised the US authorities could not see this coming.
Boxtops I believe you can take a DNA sample quite quickly but it takes times to intepret the results. To have these results within a few hours beggars belief.

Hang on a minute let's get this in perspective, what's unusual about building a compound if you are a wealthy member of pakistani society? Nothing.
Once that secure compound is built, who the hell is going to know whose living inside it?
No-one.
I imagine he could have been living in equal anonymity in any one of the gated country houses here and no-one wold have been the wiser. Govts aren't psychic you know.
