Im on the front page

of our local newspaper. When we celebrated the Royal wedding last week the local photographer came and some of us are on the front page and also inside. Nearly dropped the paper in shock when I picked it up. Ive been in our local paper a few times over the years for various things, like a trial slimming product ( never worked ) and promoting our local cricket club etc.

Im sure some of you out there have also been in your local paper ( or maybe even the nationals ) for something. Dare you tell us what ??

My mum was ini our local rag with the female colleagues when they were on strike for equal pay.

Oh the shame of it (I was only 12)

Have been in the local several times, very boring stuff, helping at charity sales/coffee mornings, etc.

I was in the local rag at the age of 8 when I passed my cycle proficiency. Then again after appearing in a pantomine as a witch with a papier mache nose that fell off mid-performance.
And two weddings....my own. We like our weddings here in t'Fens.

The got their equal pay salla. Even the lorry drivers didn't cross their picket line. Good on 'em.

Must point out, BTW thats not me on the front page of my Av. Thats my Mum. My brother super imposed her photo, after posing on his motorbike. We call her Supergran

As a child I won a carnival fancy dress competition ... I was a Troll.. Does anyone remember those toys?

My daughter used to love trolls. She had an entire collection. I remember her once lining them up on a garden bench, in size order, and taking photographs of them from various angles. It was sweet.

Yes, I remember trolls. I had quite a few of them in different sizes and colours. Love to have seen you dressed as one. My OH wasnt in the paper but was dressed as Andy Pandy when he was young. We have a briliant photo and I still tease him about it now, cos when I was young I always thought Andy Pandy was a girl ! Dont know why

Was in the local paper years ago when the quiz team i was on in school won a big quiz which was run among different schools. I am also regularly featured in my college prospectus...horrible horrible horrible..haha
