well we don't know the result yet but in typical Lib Dem fashion, Paddy Ashdown is blaming Cameron? How on earth can it be Cameron's fault that the public didn't go for this crackpot voting system?

"typical Lib Dem fashion" - Prior to this shower I thought the Lib-Dems were fairly honest.
His complaint is simple the Lib-Dems were promised this referendum as part of the coalition deal - Lib dems thought that this meant Tory support for the idea and as far as I can see they never said they would.

this is the question I ask all libdems, I have never had an answer;
"If you you were to win an overall Majority using the current system, would you then change it" - the silence is deafening.

Cameron made it plain from the beginning, the Conservatives would not support AV and would campaign against it. He said that before the ink was dry on the Coalition agreement.
The LibDems believe the NO campaign became very personal in its attacks on Clegg. They were pretty niiave if they hadn't anticipated that. They are having a crumble now because they know their YES campaign was abysmal and the vote is lost.
