Why the rush after all these years?
Libya has always been a rat hole. Don't we have enough wars on our plates yet?

They thought by dropping a few expensive bombs Gaddafi would stick up his arms and surrender.
Notice how quiet they have become and rather than losing face completely Cameron has handed the job to Haigh, a born loser if ever there was one.
Whoever finally resumes power the country will be in a right mess, defenceless and no chain of command. Who is likely to pick up the bill....no don't say it, the British taxpayer.
I thought we were in a tight squeeze financially but they allways seem to find money for projects like these.

The despots in Bahrain and Saudi are given encouragement against 'aggitators', while the aggitators in Libya and Syria get our support and bombs.
I suppose it is all down to safeguarding future supplies of oil, again. I'm sure if the Rebels win in Libya they will be expected to sign juicy oil contracts with NATO countries.
