I'm sure you've all heard that the Met Office are predicting a 2 week heat wave from this weekend onward, reaching up to the very late 20's apparently!
When it was nice in April, we had no chance of getting a parking space at West Kirby beach or Thurstaston common (near the beach, really nice for picnics), it was absolutely rammed! Gonna have to think of some other ways to spend the weekend before payday in the sun!
Will you plan anything nice or just go with the flow and enjoy it where you are?

If the rest of the country is having a heatwave, that pretty much guarantees that the weather in Blackpool will be dismal......
they say this each year pa_ul
im working, kids at school so thats most of week accounted for (just eves in garden i expect)

weekends, other half is on call all the time so wont be able to head for beach or anything as, judging by the amount of grass fires etc across country recently, he may well be needed elsewhere.
It's the BF's birthday this next weekend so we will be going down to the boat again (Swanwick marina). And the week after we have a cottage in Norfolk - so a heatwave would be very welcome. The whole of the Solent & the Isli of Wiggetti, then Holkham Beach and the garden of Riverside Cottage will be enough for me.
that sounds lovely, salla, cant go wrong with either the IOW or Norfolk coast :)

is he a fireman red? If it is the case then another weeks of even hotter could make him a busy man!

I know what you mean bobbi, when they forecast it they often only mean the South East of England too 'cus that's all that matters to them, but I'll live in hope!
I could easily move to the IoW, Devon, Dorset or Cornwall. In fact, I plan to.... I am very good at female persuasion ;-)
yeah hes a retained fireman, so always on call pretty much.

oh eck red, well let's hope it doesn't get too bad!

I may be down near the south coast myself for bank holiday weekend Salla, my dad lives not far from Portsmouth and has invited us down for the weekend. Got 2 other party invites and a bbq too though so have to wait and see, don't think I fancy a 5 hour drive if it's too nice!!
I don't know about heatwave but we've had no significant rain here for weeks...this will be dire if more heat comes and they will put us on hosepipe bans...would be lovely if we had rain at night and lovely summer weather during the day. If only it were the perfect world lol.
I'm on leave from 26th and so I'm going househunting. Having a night in a hotel in Southampton and dinner out that weekend. OH's son's birthday on 27th so we'll all be going to a themepark and then having a kids' party. Other than that, just chilling out.
2 weeks heatwave - in North Wales???? - I'll get me brolly ready
I hope you are right! I haven't got too much work on next week, I'll be able to top up my tan in the garden and put my feet up for a few days before starting a big job in Devon at the beginning of June!
