The 2002 French Presidential elections

i wasn't sure where to put this because there is no politics section. For my AS Level French course i have to choose a topic of discussion from a francophone country, i chose ''why did the french public nearly vote for Le Pen to become president?', i was wondering if anyone knew any detailed websites about this, and possibly people's reactions and opinions?

I did the Front National last year for my AS oral. And I've got my retake on Friday lol I did get a B though so don't worry, I'm not entirely useless

http://www.fyifrance.com/FN/fnweb.htm this has a load of links, half of which are prob out of date

Also try the Guardian website which has really good info on Le Pen, and french journaux such as liberation.fr or lemonde.fr
