Tunisia and Egypt didn't need our help to oust their rulers. And other despots in Syria and Bahrain are left alone. It seems libya was seen as an easy target, but the mad tyrant clings to power.
The whole adventure seems ill judged and poor value for money. So much for cutting the deficit.

What is not clear is how much would have been spent anyway, forces on standby need training and paying for, and how much is extra.
