Can you refute? or perhaps explain?

Bedfordshire police guidelines for entering private houses etc:

If they’re non-Muslim

• Consider the most opportune time of day to be able to arrest suspects with minimum resistance
• Apply all necessary force to enter the premises and arrest suspects accordingly.

If they’re Muslim:

• Community leaders must be consulted before raids into Muslim houses.
• Officers must not search occupied bedrooms and bathrooms before dawn.
• Use of police dogs will be considered serious desecration of the premises.
• Cameras and camcorders should not be used in case of capturing women in inappropriate dress.
• If people are praying at home officers should stand aside and not disrupt the prayer.
They should be allowed the opportunity to finish.
• Officers should take their shoes off before raiding a Muslim house.
• The reasons for pre-dawn raids on Muslim houses needs to be clear and transparent.
• Officers must not touch holy books or religious artefacts without permission.
• Muslim prisoners should be allowed to take additional clothing to the station.

my explanation: you've fallen for a hoax

Honestly, some people will believe anything... Incidentally, I have a million dollars for you if you will just forward your bank details to my office in Nigeria...

I'm delighted it's a hoax!
The thing about this is that although it may be a hoax it sounds all too frighteningly realistic.

Only if you're a little niave...or perhaps a Daily Mail reader (they literally believe anything they're told!)

You knew it was a hoax right?

Yes I had a good idea it was, well I hoped it was but I could see how we could be heading in this direction.
jno if you read your link it sounds like they do have different rules when the visit houses

// Bedfordshire Police took these onboard as advice, not as a fixed and rigid practice. The most current version of these covers Baha’i, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Sikhism and Zoroastrianism and is contained in an annex to the National Policing Improvement Agency publication “Working With Faith Communities”. //

I think you may find they do consult with some Muslim elders before raids take place in some areas.

Point of clarification...the opposite of 'Islamophobe' in the context of this site is not 'Islamophile'.

An Islamophile is someone who loves all things Islamic right?

Well, I think what you're referring to isn't that...what many of us ARE, are moderates who are uncomfortable with the demonisation of all things Islamic. There are PLENTY of things I hate about Islam...but what the Islamophobes hate isn't certain teachings...but Muslims themselves.

...which is weird when so many of their goals (suppression of gays, family unit, sexual forebodence) are the same as the right-wingers.

Every time Anne Widdecombe opens her mouth, you can almost see the Koran between her teeth.
Yeah, of course I knew it was a hoax but I just can't help it.
I'll hang prayer beads on my door & leave old shoes in the porch.

yet i recall a police officer not that long ago on being interviewd at the scene of a raid on a muslim house saying that care had been taken to respect muslim views etc during the raid.
