imagine after the second world war the nuremberg trials are in full swing and people start to find out about the horrors that had taken place.

1946 what do the yanks start doing, they start testing an early antibiotic penicillin on live guatemala children (orphans), prisoners, military conscripts and prostitutes.

it has taken them up to 2010 to admit to this.

One would like to think that all horrors from 1939-1945 were all Nazi, but they'e probably not.

Also, nasty, evil, disgusting things happen to people who should not be the subject of experiments. There surely are a load of things that we don't know and will never know about.

It is discgraceful, and it is difficult to figure out how the US government and the participating doctors reconciled their actions with their own moral values.

It is stories like this that do unfortunately fuel the flames of conspiracy theorists.

The father of a schoolfriend served in the RN during and after the war. He died young from leukemia. He claimed that he had contracted it after being exposed to radiation during nuclear bomb tests in the Pacific.
The servicemen may not have been deliberately used as guineapigs, but it makes you wonder.
