No, but then why would you. I don't recall seeing any pictures where a bomb has gone off where a British bomb disposal expert has been involved, i would think it insensitive, especially if the serviceman is killed.

Do you think The Telegraph would show the video if etc. etc.

Perhaps the bomb disposal expert surviving the blast is the reason why the world media is running the story with pictures, still and video.
probably not. It's in the Guardian too, however. Like ABerrant, I think the key point is that the man survived; I suspect the Guardian at least wouldn't have run it if it had been a snuff picture, and even the Mail might have thought twice about it.
The brave man survived, good story, great picture, what's the problem? Had it been a British soldier, I would think it would have made the front page of all of the papers.
Another anti-British post, from anti-Daily Mail Gromit.

I get fed up with these anti-Daily Mail fanatics.

Why only the other day there was one of these fanatics who phoned up a radio chat show to complain that the Daily Mail tried to blame the teachers strike, because they reported that a young girl had been killed by a falling branch, when normally she would have been in school.

That was bad enough but the obviously left-wing radio presenter agreed with him.

If these idiots had checked, the BBC TV news also made the same comment as did others who reported on the tragic affair.
It was discussed on here AOG.........and most people were either disgusted or amused by the DMs attempts to blame the striking teachers *directly* for the poor girl's death..

When the BBC blamed the strikers did anyone complain ? Seems all the papers have reported this brave bomb disposal officer.

/// She was off school on Thursday afternoon, when the accident happened, as the teachers’ strike over pensions meant lessons were cancelled.///

The Daily Mail's reference to the accident and the teachers strike.

Which is no different to all the other media reports.

/// Friends of the girl told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph that they had spent time at the park after their school closed because of industrial action.///

Independent.

/// Girl not at school due to teachers' strike killed by falling
branch. ///

Mirror headlines.

/// Friends told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph they were in the park because their school was closed on a day of widespread industrial action involving three teaching unions.///

Sky News

/// Friends of the girl told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph that they had spent time at the park after their school closed because of industrial action. ///

The Guardian.

Can't see why the Daily Mail got the blame.
The DM very sneakily amended the article later in the day....
It baldly stated that she died *because* her teachers were on strike....as a direct result.
I love the Daily Mail..........
Yes, of course they would have printed it - as long as he'd survived - any paper would do the same. In their haste to criticise the Mail, people aren't thinking it through.
