This highlights other problems that are now being experienced by some countries by being in the EU.

Good on them. Pity our Government doesnt have the same back bone.
surely that would be against their Ooman rites or elf n safetee or somthing!
I guess we have to keep paying for child support for their children in Poland (after they have worked for a while in the UK they are entitled to child benefit for children living in Poland).

And of course we pay it at our OUR child benefit rate, which is a lot of money in Poland.

In fact if you are Polish and have a lot of kids it is almost worth being out of work in the Uk to get all the child benefit paid to you in Poland.

Yet again our short sighted politicians dont see how the system can be abused.
This is just a proposal. The Netherlands has a coalition Government like us, and the VVD party (Who are proposing this) have 31 seats (out of 150). This Probably will not happen as it is against the spirit of the EU.

It is old news, it occurred in February.

It is every nations right to decide who it allows to live in its state. Of course the Dutch people should be allowed to expel from their country whoever they please, as should the UK, without threats from european commisars. Hopefully this signals the long awaited start of the break up of this ridiculous EU - Greece about to default, Ireland deep in financial trouble, Portugal and Spain on the way I expect, and the EU being held together by Germany and France, in the face of their squabbling taxpayers who resent having to bale out the irresponsible economies. Lets hope it goes the way of the Soviet Union only sooner.
You can see a situation where Britain is the last man standing as it could be a domino effect. They will get kicked out from Holland, etc but don't expect them to head back to Poland, they will come here. As it is I believe we already take in about 5 times more immigrants than the Dutch.
against the spirit of the EU, doesn't that just about sum it up. Sorry but i'm just sick of the EU, and much besides, whatever people think we get out of it, its caused much misery, and these guys may not get their way, but hoorah for trying.
Yeah, well the Dutch have some experience of throwing out foreigners:

Has it? Example please.
Two serious criminals from Somalia were today spared deportation after a ruling by European judges which could allow dozens more foreign offenders to stay in Britain.

The Home Office was seeking to send Abdisamad Adow Sufi, 24, who has convictions for burglary and making a threat to kill, and convicted class-A drug dealer Abdiaziz Ibrahim Elmi, 42, back to their home country.

The European Court of Human Rights ruled today, however, that the level of violence was too great to allow them to be returned and that there was a risk that they would be subject to inhumane treatment. It also backed an appeal by the pair on the grounds that there was a risk of them being flogged by members of the extremist group al-Shabaab because they would not be used to complying with its strict Islamic codes of conduct. Both men argued that deportation would breach Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights, which prohibits torture and inhumane treatment.
before some whinges, daily mail it isn't

Take off your 'rose tinted specs Gromit, then maybe even you will see many examples.
same story was covered in Telegraph and other papers, and yes i am sick of it, why is it that we can't even deport these people, why should the British taxpayer have to pay for them, in jail and when they come out, they are not EU citizens, and quite frankly its time the tide turned on this nonsense

Even these non-Europeans are quoting EU laws now.

I wonder what they would say in Somalia, if an European tried to quote EU laws at them?

If we have to have EU laws, then they should be for our benefit and protection not the rest of the worlds.
"I wonder what they would say in Somalia, if an European tried to quote EU laws at them? "

Your question doesn't make sense. They were quoting the laws of the jurisdiction that they were in (i.e. Europe).
