Yes I have sent money not only to Africa but many other appeals but enough is enough, each night as you watch the TV there are ads for Africa, Dogs homes, & many many more & before someone comes on & say it, I am not tight but I get muffed why the Government of them Country's are not doing enough to help their own instead of relying on the rest of the world to dig in their pockets to help. to me Africa would benefit more with birth control, can you remember 20+years back, there was a mass appeal headed by B.Geldof etc for Ethiopia1 & where are we, back to square one with children dying. Is birth control the answer? we cannot control the weather but we can control the children that are dying.

TWR I once said this on here and was totally lambasted and called a racist for it, I wish you good luck
These adverts pull at your heartstrings which they are designed to do, but everyone having to tighten their belt here at the moment, it is very difficult to bow to pressure, why can't 'big names' send some of their wealth?

" why can't 'big names' send some of their wealth?" Because it seems that the rich mainly look after the rich and the poor look after the poor. I like to look out for my own as I've been helped and would like to see my "Own" help me back if I ever am down on my luck. The pound some people find it so hard to part with would make someone poor a lot more happier then the happiness in keeping the pound for yourself surely.

I'm with you 100%. With all the billions of pounds that have been sent to Africa since the 1960's - and what is there to show for it? Just a succession of corrupt goverments that rather spend money arms, deny their people are starving and then raise their begging bowl to the world. to me the likes of Mugabe are as big a terrorist as any. I read an article in th Sunday Times that Band Aid, the food never got to those who really needed it. It on dock-sides for weeks, only the rats getting fat on it, because of arguments who was going to distribute it. Very little of the food was given to the aid agencies, the rest was sold on the black market. They should photographs of the trucks, well the front cabs, rusted out skeletons, often with bullet holes in them as they were stopped from leaving trying to distribute the food. Rice and milk powder for babies was found to be on sale in the Souq's in Alexandria, Damascus and Jerusalem.

Wrong3No, I have 2 children & I can feed and support them, I rule my D--K & it is I that says I do not want more children, if I could not feed my 2 children We would not have had them in the first place, there are elderly in the UK that at times have a choice, eat or heat, a lot choose the heat, this is the UK not Africa, in case you may think I am not RACIST neither am I a tight fisted sod, this country is Governed by parliament, the Africans are governed by their Government so let them sort out their own affairs, talking about abroad? where is the thing you are typing from? Africa? where are the clothes YOU WEAR MADE? the food you describe! that could, be grown in this country. regards homeless people, go to the Cities in the UK! Then practice about starving. this is not a slur on Africa & was not intended as such, this is a comment about aid to countries that are always on the " Help us gravy train"
