Wasn't this the same kind of warning they used to give when we used to have large groups of grown up skinheaded tattooed men fighting each other all over the world in the name of "Football"? With pictures shown round the world you can understand why the police are taking a low profile. To attack the youths headlong may not look too good in the broadcast. All that work by sending £bns to other countries has been undone in a few days.

Maybe the moral should be to divert some of the overseas aid budget to solve our own problems. That money would have paid for them to go on a luxury holiday and keep them quiet.

I'm definitely English and make sure everyone knows. As for the riots, it is not about the man who was shot, it is about excitement and joining in and doing what everyone else in the crowd is doing, in fact mass hysteria. They will get bored after a while especially if they get any lumps - it's always other people get lumps, not you (until you actually get some). They will be on to the next bit of excitement after a while, which is why they should not have cancelled any football matches but kept them going so that the thugs and thugesses would have something else to occupy their tiny minds.
