Robbing Bastards
http://www.dailymail....st-shoppers-270m.html
Besides insurance companies crying in their beer at inflation busting premium increases, year on year – this is the other perennial news story that just won’t go away until a few top bosses are gaoled for their crimes.
Having robbed you and me of £270 million – the Office of (un)Fair Trading fines those guilty, £50 million.
As a result of this crime, the guilty parties are up £220 million on the deal and the OFT pockets a cool £50 million.
Any business offered such terms on a scam (against you and me) – would be foolish to turn it down.
Until the Terry Leahy’s of this world are sent to jail for their crimes (and treated as pariahs by society - as would be the case in the USA) – rather than being feted by top politicians as people we should look up to – these scams will continue to plague these isles.
