Hi,

I know this kind of information request is a little unorthodox, but on watching RND05 which was truly excellent this year by the way I encountered a piece of music used in one of the short Africa stories. I was hoping you would be able to tell me which piece of music was used.

The story was about a woman called Aletina who had a dying son called David. There is a voiceover on the piece, reciting a poem with the starting words:

'There are no words that I can say to ease your pain or hideaway...'

I can't help with the music but the poem was written especially for the comic relief film by a as yet unpublished poet called Tim Lovell. It is called A Mother's Poem.

Mr Lovell has reproduced the poem on another site and as I am unsure of the copyright issues in this instance I'll direct you there rather than put it up here.

I think the information on this site has an expiry date of April 11, so you better be quick.
