Please sign this petition against high fuel duty online
25 Answers
Sorry if this is the wrong area, but have just seen petition which you all must sign. It is to get the government to lower fuel excise duty which is crippling this once great nation's economy. Can I urge you all to sign it and also tell all your friends and family to do so as well?
This is important as it concerns you all.

really all this ''enviromental'' garbage gets on my nerves, the u.s,china, russia etc etc take absoloutley no notice of ''green issues'' so its a waste of time really..petrol prices will remain high because of the greed of various governments who implement tax on fuel and oil companies..they are all on a winner except the motorist and haulage companies..where would any of us be without transport????

Okay then, if I can not tell you that you must do something then can I strongly urge you to do it. It is all of you I am thinking of here as this high fuel tax has been around for decades. Do these petitions not work then, fliptheswith? I thought that they were supposed to make a difference to our little world?

Double excise, take cars off the road....and favour renewable fuel usage with lower taxes on them. I am also in favour of low taxes (i.e. zero for the exploitation of black oils, the UK sits on massive reserves but it is about the economics of using heating systems to get it onshore and the primary processing - this could be done by zero PRT (petroleum resource taxation) applied to any crude produced in the UK and a "proportional" excise reduction to the oil cos for every barrel used as a proportion of their overall barrels produced
