I read about this incident and was struck by the pure stupidity of some of my fellow humans.

I admit to not being a 'people person' and I also confess that my two best friends are feline but even I wouldn't go this far ........

It was a beautiful cat ttfn - all fluffy and cuddly looking.

mike - I suppose it is a cheaper way of getting treatment than the £100 emergency call-out charge that I had to pay when Frankie had an asthma attack. :-)

Every so often the ambulance people have articles in the press about some of the really stupid reasons that people call the 999 service for. I believe that alcoholic beverages are involved in most of the incidents.

Sad for the cat - how would they know, though, that he was having a heart attack? I don't mean to joke about it (as you know, I is a catz person) but how could they tell if he had chest pain?

I can well understand it, to many people their pets are their children.
Cats and dogs share the family home they are a part of the family and especially for elderly people they are great company , even more so than children who have their own lives to live. For a dog or cat you are their life.
That's why some pets pine to death if they lose their owner. Its a mutual love.
