Could America just tell China to get stuffed?

there is a whole hullabaloo at the moment due to America losing its AAA debt rating and China are tut tutting. However, do you think it could ever come to a point were America just tells China, "Hey we ain't paying you back, what are you gonna do about it?", and what would be the outcome of this stance for the rest of us?

It would relegate America (USA?) to a third world country status with no credit rating to speak of and no one would invest in the US industry or stocks. No jobs means a depression.

A national default has happened before most recently Argentina.

Plunged them into absolute chaos.

Obviously if you do this nobody will lend you money, after all you've prooved you won't pay back. You quickly run out of cash, public service worker don't get paid - that's police, fire In the UK that would be the health workers too.

In the case of the US, their economy is so intertwined with the western world there would be a massive collapse in confidence and the western world would collapse into a depression that would make the 30's look like being a bit short of cash.

i doubt it as both are strong countries, but china is slightly more both economically and other ways, so even america will have to be careful about approaching them lol

No, the USA is China's bitch, well, everyone is China's bitch. She is the biggest super power on the face of the planet and she has Russia and a whole other bunch of countries to back her up.

China wants to be Communist but ultimate communism can never be achieved becasue she also like the smell of money, but that's besides the point.

If the uSA told China to basicallgo f*ck herself, the USA would certainly have it rough. All the world would then know that the USA doesn't pay it's debts and that it is still filled with arrogance.

Hence no one wants to do busines with an arrogant person who doesn't repay their debts ;)
