At last someone who is prepared to make her views known on this particular issue, and she can do this without the fear of being labelled a racist.
Good for you Baroness.

But she took aim at the Pakistani community,////
And then somewhere else it tells me that,
////Currently, she is a trustee of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (UK)////
That tells me a lot that why she is targeting Paksitani and Bangladeshi communities and praising Indian. It’s not her own words and someone is pushing South East Asian politics into Britain. And I know few others said that. On a smaller note I am from Pakistan and have five kids. Have never claimed a peny in benefits since I arrived into this country just a week under 20 years ago and have always paid heavy taxes. On the other hand I have two very good Indian friends and they both have 2 and 3 kids each from married life. But at least further 3 (as far as they know) each outside wedlock. I am not sure what future those 6 children have and what would they pay back to the community. Perhaps that is what Lady Flather wants Pakistanis and Bangladeshis to do.

Don't you even claim child benefit for your five kids, keyplus90?
If you do that must come to a tidy amount.
Child Benefit (from 3rd April 2011 to April 2012)
Higher rate (eldest child only) £20.30 or ever child of a single parent.
Each every other child £13.40
Then there is the matter of:
Maternity Allowance
£128.73 or 90% of average earnings [the lower of the two is paid]
Statutory Maternity Pay
First 6 weeks 90% of earnings
Remaining 33 weeks £128.73 or 90% of average earnings [the lower of the two is paid]
Lower earnings limit £102.00
And, Statutory Paternity Pay
£128.73 or 90% of average earnings [the lower of the two is paid]
for 2 weeks
These are the costs the Baroness is talking about.

anotheoldgit – Perhaps look at the bigger picture.
There is one Pakistani or Bangladeshi who have five children. Ok just think about me. But my job has not finished soon after a “push in the bush” as I am still around and giving my kids good training about what is right and what is wrong. And lets say for argument sake that I am claiming all of the benefits (although I am not).
On the other hand I have my friend from the above example from my first post and he is not Bangladeshi or Pakistani but an Indian. He has same number of kids (2 in the wedding and 3 out of wedlock) so amount of benefits would be same. But he has another woman claiming as single parent. But I am still not worried about that. My worry is who would be a role model to those 3 kids? And your own prime minister is saying (after the recent riots) that Britain has to bring back family values. Now how would you bring back a family value where father does not exist and does not want to be known?
Or is it that yours and lady Flather’s priorities or problem is number of children ONLY in the marriage and secondly are benefits the only problem or other problems too that are more serious? Please enlighten me on these issues.
