/// Akindoyin Akinshipe, 24, was due to be sent home after losing appeal after appeal in the British courts over his jailing for an attack on a girl of 13.///
/// But in a staggering reversal yesterday, the European Court of Human Rights said this would breach his right to a ‘private and family life’.///
Why don't we leave these cases to go to the European Court of Human Rights direct, thus saving millions allowing appeal after appeal, only to be overruled by Europe, when the final one has been refused.

I simply cannot understand how anybody - politician or otherwise - can defend legislation which produces decisions such as those that we see almost every week. If such measures are so broad that they must allow foreign convicted rapists and murderers to remain here amongst their victims and victims' families because they have a "right to a family life" they need urgent reform. The UK has not denied these people such rights. All they are saying is that they must be practiced somewhere else. Once again, the electorate deserves much better.
