I just put my bins out and as i was out there i looked up and saw what appeared to be zombies in the distance... and it just made me think of this ...

what would you do if you looked out your window and your street was over run with them...?

would you do a runner and go fetch your family? or set up a proper hiding space and try to stay there as long as possible...? or just try to carry on as normal in darkness and quiet and hope they dont spot you through the curtains?

over the years ive come up with odd ideas, plans etc ... such as hide in the divan bed base...etc

i think my first move would be kitchen...then id go up into the loft...which unfortunately is tiny and probably full of pigeon crap...so id be laying down...but the problem is the ceiling is very low, so would be very easy for any zombie to push the hatch open...im 5'2" and i can easily reach...so id have to nail it shut...but that would make a noise...dilemma! haha

if i decided to leave ive considered going over the roofs...although that would only get you so far... can phone lines hold a persons weight?

This is of course just for fun, so no need to add posts saying they dont exist, or how it could never happen etc - for now lets assume that it can and it has!

what would you do? or wouldnt do? obviously in films they have to do the wrong things or theyd be very boring films...haha

I think this thread deserves a little more attention.

I always think that my bicycle would be the best get-away vehicle.

I also think that hiding out somewhere fairly rural is the best idea. In the fens, no hills for them to hide behind!

I'd head for the remotest place possible too.

Mind you, ive always fancied the holed up in a shopping mall idea. As long as they couldn't get in ,think of the fun you could have!

I think you'd get bored fairly quickly! It might be quite good if it's a supermarket with a bakery etc, at least you'd have an oven then.

I reckon all the supermarkets would be looted straight off, so it wouldn't be much good setting out for one to stay in.

Does everyone have enough food n the pantry to out-last the Zombie horde? I always feel smug for this reason when I buy something in bulk.

No i mean like a shopping centre- like Arndale or Trafford Centre. Try on all the clothes, never go short of food (always a M&S in them places) play with all the gadgets in the nerd shops etc etc etc.

Find a multi-storey building and get on the roof, people always get rescued by helicopter from there - and I want a ride in a helicopter.

I suppose there might be some curio store that sells tin openers, but it might not be in a mall.

I guess you'd have to hope Nicholas Cage lands a rescue helicopter on the roof, but I think I'd probably prefer the company of the zombies.

I'm also thinking longer term, what if you have to grow your own food? Does the Trafford Centre have an allotment?
