You having a laugh?
He was reported the other day as saying that he was so drunk that he didn't realise it was the Cenotaph - yeah, right.

"Faded", JL? - I think not!

Sorry didn't realise Floyd and Gilmour were at the forefront of rock music in recent memory!
They have a following - we know, we were there, and still are!
Question Author
....and the last new music they brought out was.......?
It doesn't matter....they still have a massive following.
why does it have to be new? - people follow for the old stuff we know so well!
Question Author
'faded' it is then!
Nice one AOG...

<In 1967 the band comprised Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. Barrett left in 1968, to be replaced by David Gilmour. Syd Barrett died in 2006; Richard Wright died in 2008. Pink Floyd have sold over 200 million records worldwide to date.>

200 million eh....not bad going for a faded rock star..
Old or not they're still way better than alot of the modern rubbish.
I can't stand Pink Floyd but even I can admit they have a huge worldwide following/fan base.
They have been (and still are) a very influential band for decades.
<<he acted like a toffee-nosed prat>>

I'd say he acted like a yob and deserved what he got.
JL's obviously not a fan...
Question Author
Boxy, not a Floyd fan - very overrated
who do you follow, JL?
I think JL is a Petshop Boys fan....or may Erasure :-)
Question Author
Iron Maiden, proper rock and still going strong after 30+ years

Also a fan of the late great Ronnie James Dio and Rainbow
Joe, I feel so smug I knew you were quoting a Sun headline before I read your post. It's the readability - and the story of Sun's success.
Readabilty of headlines and articles is often as low as 6 years, rising to about 12-13 for editorial.
Compare with the Times / Guardian with an average readabiity of 18+ years.
Most people in this country have a reading age of about 10-11. It isn't about being thick, it's just a normal average ability to read text and digest its content. Like an average ability to run for a bus.
