During our paella last night I had a call from mum to say that my sister was rushed into theatre and the tram there safely delivered her baby boy. She has been in hospital for a couple of months with placenta praevia and it has been touch and go at times.
The news was especially well received by our elder siblings after having recently been reunited with them following a 31 year estrangement.
If the babby does make it to the big party, it will be well and truly gurgled over. I bet your sis will now be chomping at the bit to get fit enough to go home with the little chap.
My!!! How times have changed, I'm sure they used to keep you in for 10 days after a c-section. At the same time, if it was a 'normal' birth and the first it was 5 days, 3 for the second baby.
Now it's in and out.
I can imagine the look on your sister's face when she gets into her own bed tho. :)
It's very exciting, Boxy. The baby's actual due date was 05 November but c section was booked for 26 October which will be my sister's ninth wedding anniversary.
However, he decided to expedite his own arrival into the world.
Baby was 6lb something or other. She knew she was having another boy so she's been calling him Keiran throughout the pregnancy but she has apparently chosen another name now. Not sure about hair.
