How are they gog dispose of this, short of breaking up the brooch.

I am not a DM reader - I saw this yesterday on-line and realised that it hadn't been covered (I think).

and I need to clear my keyboard of its dust - gog = going.
I guess they could sell it on ebay, weren't people asking on here about the poppy brooches (not so pricey as hers mind you)
Reckon they must break it up, too recognisable to sell on.

Shame though.
As with many major jewellry pieces this will be broken down as it's the gems that are worth more than the holding metal.
Yes it is disgraceful but she left her bag unattended long enough for this to happen, maybe because it didn't belong to her?
