There is much coverage of domestic violence in the news and on TV, so why is it that this escalating and abominable treatment of Muslim women isn't given the same media coverage?

AOG....do you even bother to look at what other people post?
AOG, you need to keep up, but agree it all needs looking into.
AOG Most of the domestic violence cases are heard in the "muslim courts" where no police or media are present.
Brenden, if so that is wrong on every level, how do these women get justice this way.
They don't em.
All standard stuff for the ROP, makes you wonder why we tolerate this barbaric religion.

Why do you have to be so Bl**dy rude, anyone can make a mistake, even so it won't be the first time duplicate threads haven't been posted.
I wasn't being rude. You should, maybe, take an interest in other posts also.

So you don't consider what you said was rude, then perhaps for starters, you should take a lesson on how to correctly inform people when they have inadvertently entered a thread on a subject that has already been discussed, that is of course if you find the need, most people don't.

Perhaps you could have said "AOG, this subject has already been raised, please see":

In answer to this I will just say . "to date I have answered 10,443 other posts". So please don't dare accuse me of not taking an interest in other's posts.
No I do not consider it rude.

The thread on the same subject is two below this one. If you'd bothered to look, you would have seen it.

I won't be so rude and un-gentlemanly to make the many suggestions I have for you.

Enough to say, I will not be conveying any more lessons on politeness to you, until you have had a lie down.

Sticks and stones, AOG......sticks and stones.....

I thought we'd decided that words didn't have the power to hurt, insult or offend?
The most recent news report said these women are mostly from Kurdish and Iranian backgrounds, so many may not either speak the language, or know who to turn to.
Em. The imams in the mosques have their own surgeries and this is where the women go - sharia law is practiced here where 2 women are worth 1 man - so you can gather the sort of advice she will receive.
