The father of that man spoke very movingly and particularly asked that there be no retaliation of any kind.
His words could shame many of us. Why should feelings escalate now amongst the Asian community?

Which community are they talking about, if they are talking about the community around the murder scene, then this would be rather sparse I would have thought, taking into consideration the none residential area where he was killed.
Or are they talking about the Asian community, if so is the police fearful that feelings could escalate amongst that community? //
They are talking about Salford residents. Predominantly white ones. There is much revulsion of this crime locally. This is not an Asian area.

Interesting to note that the Salford killing has attracted more comments than the Oxford street killing, could this be because it is a white who is alleged to have committed the murder?
Which only goes to show why the following crimes may have not been so media highlighted.

AOG
You are obsessed by skin colour. The reason that the Salford killing has got more comments is because it is a more unusual crime. Sadly, young males in inner city London stab each other quite regularly, as you constantly highlight. The crime in Salford, of a random murder of a tourist without any motive. It is horrific. It is not getting more coverage because the perpetrators are white.
I notice you have not called the people who have done this 'savages'. I wonder why that is?

I was referring to you AOG. Look at your response at 11.22....so many questions. Questions, bordering on excuses. I don't recall you asking so many questions when it's blacks killing whites. When it's blacks killing whites you post like it's what you expect from them. When the roles are reversed he must have had a reason...like he might have run off with his girlfriend...twaddle!!
Three of those arrested have been released on bail two are still in custody.

// “growing perceptions in the community” what does this mean?

The word on the street is that he was killed for being the wrong colour nothing more nothing less
The none residential area where he was killed are you joking have you ever been to Ordsall
Taken from the Internet ( why not have a look )
Economy
Despite its notorious past, Ordsall's location between Manchester city centre
and Salford Quays has led to a regeneration boom. Average house prices
have risen over 100% in the past 5 years, with the area in the centre of
key regeneration visions such as the Irwell City Park scheme. A study
commissioned by insurers More Than, published in June 2007, revealed that
Ordsall had become one of the United Kingdom's property hot spots,
ranking 17th out of the 35 identified. The study rated areas by looking at
homes occupied by young, affluent professionals.
Do you honestly think that young affluent professionals are going to keep buying apartments and flats with savages running round the streets with guns
Ordsall with it's old Corrie style streets are long gone modern buildings are all you will find if you ever visit.
