Just had to break up a fight in the horses paddocks between 3 Foxes!!

What a noise! Loud screaming from all three of them!

2 Males and a female I presume. The two males were practically killing each other. The horses were galloping around and I was chasing the foxes with a broom, screeching at them like a mad banshee!

All in a days work!

Yes I guess it's the female that they are fighting over Sandyroe.

They weren't content with just one round though. I've watched Round 2, 3, 4 and 5.

I have noticed this year that they are very healthy and big. The two males were an equal match to each other. So this could go on for a while.

Now they are chasing each other around the fields. One has even climbed a tree to get away!

I have foxes in the garden....haven't seen them for a while but i'm sure they'll appear soon.It was fascinating last year watching mum, dad and two cubs.

Hau Kola-Yes they are indeed fascinating to watch. Especially when they have babies.
I know they are regarded as pests and have had bad press in the past, but I think they are such beautiful creatures.

get some pictures if you can, see foxes box and fight is mesmerising to watch sometimes its almost like a dance with one trying to outfox the other!

Baldric-Just has a look at the law, and no brooms are mentioned. Phew.

Firewatch-These foxes weren't boxing. At one point one had hold of the other one by its jaw and was shaking it like a ragdoll.

It's legal to hunt foxes with dogs provided the dogs don't do the killing.

Sandy, the mating season for foxes, like most UK wild mammal of any size is the autmn so that the young are born in the spring so that the food supply increases as they grow and they avoid getting frozen in the winter.
