Will it be cheaper, safer, and more comfortable and convenient for the World's games audiences, to commute from France to London for the Olympic Games?

they are just trying it on, London is the centre for the Olympic Games, and the people who are coming will be staying in or around, the hotels are already booked out solid, and if the channel tunnel has to be closed, for whatever reason, what do the people who have bought tickets do then. Non story
anyone who believes the spin that paris is safer than london should try travelling to the stade de france and then getting off the train (in error) somewhere like aulnay sous bois.

if such a person tells you that they don't feel threatened, they would be lying to you.
Having been to Paris any number of times, i found it to be a delightful city, but it's inhabitants the rudest on the planet, and the traffic a nightmare, you are more likely to be mown down by a paris taxi driver than killed by a terrorist in London. Why we don't use the Gurkhas as security guards i will never know, they would stop any would be threat stone dead.
we're expecting a lot more traffic through Dover via ports and Eurotunnel during the Olympics - one of the watersports groups has its training camp in France.
I am not looking forward to it much, we live in the capital, and it's already chokka, so the idea of millions more feels me with unease, but it's going ahead, so nothing to be done now. will perhaps watch on tv. Our local hotels are fully booked, and a centre locally will be packed with media

If one thinks we have a huge illegal immigrant problem now, wait till after the Olympics.

They're just trying to get what they can out of it for Paris - why shouldn't they?
Ludwig, because they are scaremongering, and it's not a games for France, Paris, but London, Britain.
If France had won the games the London trourist people would be doing the same thing. If not they wouldn't be doing their job properly.
I wonder if the spectators coming to London have a genuine entry ticket to the games else you may be proved right about illegals.
This is about the third pist from you AOG saying how wonderful France is. If you love the place so much, why don't you do us all a favour and go and live there.

Also a very large amount of your posts are always crying down this country Gromit, so why don't you also do us a favour and leave.
Brilliant how a thoughtful intelligent post can be derailed by an 'immigrant scare' diversion.
HaHa What a rubbish story. You can't just add planes - You can't add trains.
The cost of travelling from Paris to London on a daily basis is a lot more expensive than an oyster card from Mayfair to Stratford.

As a resident of Greenwich I wish Paris had won and I wish it was true.

Olympics are killing London and all Londoners are getting it is debt.
