New TV series ideas - need some new things to watch

Hi, I'm looking for some inspiration as to new shows I can get into.

Looking for something quite mindless and quite like the young drama/romance kind of shows.

Recent things I have been watching and really got into are Prison Break, Jericho, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Vampire Diaries (love Twilight too), Secret Circle, Rookie Blue, Sea Patrol, Law & Order SVU, CSI (mostly New York), ER, Dexter, Greys Anatomy, The Mentalist, Downton Abbey (love period things), Dr Who, Torchwood...

Unashamedly likes teenagely romantic angst vampire/witchy things (used to love Buffy/Charmed/Supernatural/Heroes/Ghost Whisperer etc...).

Currently loving The Secret Circle but running out of episodes so looking for something new to get into if anyone has any idea or recommendations and something I can get hold of if older.

One I had in mind was Hex if anyone has seen that and found it any good?

You would probably like 'Pretty little liars'.
Don't know where you can watch it now though. Series 2 currently on MTV

And apparently there will soon be a new series of Silk

Spartacus is pretty easy to watch, bit blood thirsty in parts and quite raunchy
Mad Dogs is pretty good too

Thanks both :) I've seen adverts for Pretty Little Liars, looks good but hate starting part into a series, will see if I can find it from the beginning somewhere.

I'll look up Silk and Sparacus too :) Hasn't Mad Dogs just come back on, will see if I can catch up if I've missed one.

Drop Dead Diva is good.. it's not on atm but i'm sure you could find it on dvd. It's usually on living so it kind of fits in with the Grey's Anatomy kind of thing.

Since you watch Grey's... do you know when it comes back on? I hate when they just leave you hanging!

Oh and Pan Am is excellent too! BBC 2 on a Saturday night I think.

What about Grimm which is starting on Monday night at 9.00 on Watch on Sky - comes from the same people that did Buffy and Angel. There's also one coming up called Alcatraz which looks interesting, and we started watching the Mighty Johnsons on Syfy on Thursday nights - looks like fun going by the first episode. Of course there's also, on Alibi, Castle, Rizzoli and Isles and the second series of Body of Proof (first series on Channel 5 tonight at 9.00. Of course I'm assuming you have Sky and looking at your list I think you might have. Hope these suggestions will help you find something to watch that is entertaining.

Yes, Spartacus as well and Silk will be the 2nd series
Spartacus is easy, dont need ot have watched the other 2
The other 2 can probably still be found on iplayer etc

have you tried watching 'being human'.

latest series has just started on bbc3 but there are a couple to catch up on. its a bit more gorey than your twilight but me and mrs kou love it.

I found Rome on TV on Demand (Virgin) the other day and started watching it.

Also a couple of weeks ago I found Marchlands and started getting into that but was quite miffed that they only had 4 out of 5 episodes available and the one that was billed as part 4 was actually part 5. I have emailed Virgin to complain.

Great suggestions, thanks :) Bednobs, I love Hollyoaks, that and Eastenders are my soap fixes! I have Trueblood series 1 on DVD, watched a couple but wasn't so sure about it but need to give it another go.

I'll look into them all!
