Is militant secularisation a bad thing?

I believe that your religion, be you christian, muslim or jew is a private matter. The state should not promote, encourage or discriminate in favour of any religion. I see increased secularism as a triumph not a loss. I totally disagree with Baroness Warsi.

Baroness Warsi descibes her visit to the Pope as an honour and points out that the UK / Holy See is our oldest diplomatic relationship dating from 1479.
Wasn't that the Golden Age of the Inquisition when several million were tortured and burnt at the stake in Europe and the Americas ?
Whilst there maybe she would like to admire the St Bartholomew Massacre picture in the Sistine Chapel which was especially commissioned by then Pope to commemorate the slaughter of 25,000 Protestants in Paris 1579. He was so pleased with the slaughter he even had a special coin minted so that every one could see a picture of this happy event.

Well, might as well be hung for a wolf as a lamb or whatever. If Baroness Warsi thinks secularists are militant I wouldn't want to disappoint her, so I am going to make a point of not going to church as militantly as possible, not praying in the street as pointedly as possible at times and places chosen at random to cause maximum inconvenience. I am thinking of deliberately not killing anybody because their secularist principles are different to mine but mostly I am going to refuse to go to heaven.
Any suggestions of further ways of being militantly secularist will be seriously considered.

Jomifl, I think you should start a movement! You would be amazed at the followers you might gain....but that probably defeats the object.

Secular militants are those who maintain the charm of childhood by telling their children about Father Christmas, Tooth Fairies , Easter Bunnies , Pixies , Goblins, Elves but not God .
