Quiz involves cryptic clues and general knowledge. The clues are in two parts - one part leads you to the surname of the famous man. The other part gives a clue to why he is well known. The people can be living or dead and are well known in a variety of fields such as sports, science, engineering, philosophy etc. They all have a strong association with Scotland but may not actually live here or have been born here.

9. As a spy he studied his lines assiduously but then dropped five as he got anxious. (I had thought Sean Connery but don't get the 'drop five.... bit).
14. Remarkable to think the wealth of nations was crafted by a metal worker!
16. Rose hesitated before revving up to 100mph as he probably would have found her out - especially if she was in Chicago.
19.Perhaps his family took their name from young sheep before they are shorn but their son turned to literature to make his name.
21. Eve span, but he didn't delve - he designed grand buildings instead.

Many thanks
