Why remake a masterpiece?
2 Answers
Why (lately) will Hollywood insist on re-making films that are obviously masterpieces in their own right. Why not concentrate on decent films that were flops, and try and make them better! Also why try and make films out of 1950's/60's TV programmes, that could never be decent films ever?
I suppose it all comes down to money?

I suppose they are afraid of spending the dosh on something new in case it flops so they just remake something that was pretty good the first time round. This can still go wrong of course, just checkout the 2 rollerball attempts on IMDB. Original, brilliant, remake absolute S*&T.
