If Terry is convicted due to the lip-reading evidence, will it be the first time someone has been found guilty of not 'what was said', but what 'was seen to be said'?

The Terry racist rant video was posted by a deaf person on YouTube (before the FA had it pulled). Very many other deaf people who could lip read saw it and confirmed what was said. Non deaf people who saw it and could also make out the alleged words.

The fact that Terry is attempting to have the core piece of evidence made inadmissable is telling.

I wonder if AOG would be so dismissive of lip reading if it were proving Terry's innocense?

As for the 'what next, though reading?' what a damn stupid thing to ask.
Last thought.

You must be pretty thick to mouth racist abuse when you know that 30 hi def cameras are pointing at you and 600million people are going to see it.

Precisely, that is why there should be independent witnesses who are prepared to come forward and swear on oath, that they also heard the alleged offensive words.

The usual abusive insults if one dares to voice a different opinion.

Where are you ED when you are needed?
It's my understanding that some spectators did hear what he said but this has not been widely reported.
What is your problem,AOG?

It seems to me that you deliberately set out to be contrary, even if your argument is spurious,or weak.Terry"s legal team have undertaken to
discredit evidence, which was brought to light by people who lip-read
well...I agree with all Gromit has presented to you!
The FA is run by idiots is probably the least controversial I have ever written on AB. If you disagree, I would think you are in a very small minority.
