Toulouse Shootings
23 Answers
Just watching Sky news, it seems the French police have cornered a suspect in a house, 2 police offers have been shot. Apparently he has an Uzi and Kalashnikovs, let's hope he doesn't have the ammunition to use them. He told negotiators that he'll surrender this afternoon, how will they get him out if he doesn't? It's not going to end well is it?

AOG,
Just looked at the unedited versions of the quotes you printed above, and you probably owe a couple of posters an apology because you have distoted what they wrote and misrepresented them by your edits.
The unedited quotes are
// could be right wing or Iranian //
// It could be a right wing nutter because the victims are Jewish, or it could be a terrorist cell in a revenge attack for the Afghanistan murders by that American soldier //
Both the above quotes are either/or and do not specifically blame a right wing attacker, as you disingenously suggest.

It was all just guesswork until it's found out who and why, who knows.
Quote on Sky News currently:
"This person has made trips to Afghanistan and Pakistan in the past... and says he belongs to al Qaeda and says he wanted to avenge Palestinian children and to attack the French army. He has links with people involved in jihadism and salafism."
They are also saying they have arrested his brother and brother's girlfriend.
There have been shots hitting officers so appears he does have ammunition.

I did make comment about certain Islamic placards.
But I would have been foolish to suggest that it may be a Muslim attack, just as those were who suggested that it may be a right-wing attack.

The suggestion was made, and that is enough, why speculate either way until one know for certain?
Had I had done the same you most likely would have been the first to criticise me.
Regarding missing out certain words in my examples, surely it was enough to highlight only the suggestive terms that I was referring to.
