Wont bore you with recent posts, but those who have kept up will know what I'm on about re Mr smowball. Suffice to say that I have stood my ground all weekend, told him what I thought of him when he was having go at son, shouted at him to stop being such a bloody bully and I feel soooo much better! Didnt go down too well but once it was clear that I meant business it has gone suprisingly calm here. Yay!

And all thanks to you lots for your support and comments. Three cheers for all you AB'ers : )

Awww thanks. I know its all pretty silly in the grand scheme of things, but small steps etc.... Guess all habits can be broken. Even, after 8 years, finally said that it wasnt our fault that he wasnt seeing his child as he should and to stop sodding taking it out on us. He looked slightly stunned lol.

firstly, why was he having a go at your son?

the problem with parenting is that both parents have to be united in discipline otherwise the child will use the inconsistency to gain an advantage. by having a go at your husband and calling him names, you have created a division.

ultimately this will cause more harm than good, by all means be assertive, but this has to be regarding your relationship with your OH
