This is scaremongering of the worst kind.

If you read this piece, there is next to no proveable fact in it at all - merely the ramblings of a few numpties, such as can be found any day on the Internet.

Our media is icreasingly swerving towards the American blueprint of scaremongering its readership by playing on their worst fears and implying that those fears are about to be realised.

You are forgetting we are in Aghanistan to prevent trouble at home. Most of the heads of Al Qaeda have been killed and we are left with the home grown ones who became radicalised because of our actions in Muslim countries.

If lessons from Afghanistan and Iraq are anything to go by to keep peace at home we shouldn't indulge in wars abroad and then we'd have a peaceful olympics.

489 died in industrial accidents last year 318 of those were members of the public!

52 souls lost their lives, do you really think they are the only ones. How do you suppose their families, friends feel about this, gutted i expect even now. How do you suppose those who lost loved ones to the IRA feel, the same i expect. I don't read the sun, nor do i intend to in the future. But i do live in the capital, and have been in the vicinity of not just one bomb that went off in 2007, but the ones planted by the IRA, so i could have been another statistic according to people like you. Over the top yes why not, this city has seen enough tragedy, just like NY, over 3,000 there, and who was responsible, the followers Of Islam, and they won't be the last. If one more person puts a bomb on the streets of London, or indeed anywhere in the British Isles i hope sincerely you are no where near.

Best not to make any generalisations until the Olympics are over, but one would be a complete idiot to say it could never happen.
